Summary of changes in NTSYSpc ver. 2.2

bullet The user interface for NTSYSpc has been redesigned somewhat (see the sample screen shots). The configuration and customization windows were combined.
bullet Input file formats have not changed. Matrices in Excel XLS files can now be read directly by the computational modules -- there is no longer a need to import them using the NTedit program. All matrix types, rectangular, symmetric, etc., are now supported. Most modules now allow input and output of files in CSV and matlab file formats.
bullet The NTedit program has been revised to include a text mode in which very large ASCII files can be edited (files up to 16MB with line lengths up to 32K). Standard cut, copy, paste, and other text editing commands are supported.
bullet Graphics have been greatly improved and can be called directly from many of the computational modules by the use of speed buttons on a toolbar. The entry forms for the graphics programs have also been simplified since the graphic options are now available from option dialog boxes. You can now control the titles, scale, colors, fonts, line widths, etc. of most aspects of the plots. NTS files can now be loaded into the editor by just double-clicking on them in the Windows Explorer or by right-clicking on them and using the Windows "Send to" feature.
bullet New computational modules have been added:
bullet COMBINE - Combines two or more matrices into one.
bullet FACTOR - Performs the initial step (factor extraction) for a factor analysis of a correlation or a covariance matrix. The principal factor and maximum likelihood methods are included. The max diagonal, squared multiple correlation, and Jöreskog (1963) methods for initial communality estimation.
bullet FROTATE - Performs the orthogonal or oblique factor rotation step in a factor analysis. The function plane, primary product function plane, Harris-Kaiser independent cluster, Varimax, and Promax methods are included.
bullet FSCORES - Computes factor scores. The Anderson-Rubin, Bartlett, Least-squares, Regression, multigroup, and Thompson methods are included.
bullet RESAMPLE - Create samples using bootstrap, jackknife, random permutation, or random normal deviates.
bullet SPLIT- Divides a matrix into two or more matrices.
bullet SUMMARY - Summarizes results of a resampling experiment (bootstrap, jackknife, etc.)
bullet Some computational modules have been revised:
bullet CANPLS - Can now input data files in addition to correlation matrices. Ordination plots and permutation tests are now provided.
bullet CPCA – The output of the statistical tests are now better organized
bullet POOLVCV – Added tests for homogeneity of subsets of covariance matrices.
bullet TPSWTS – New methods added for the computation of the uniform component..
